On the 22nd of March I had an eisteddfod at Erindale Thetre. I competed in 5 troop dances that are called Spanish Troop, Hilda And The Pesents, Singapore, Amazing and Butterfly Kisses.

I had to get up at around 6:30 in the morning to get my makeup on, do my hair and put my ballet shoes on then go to the thetre. The hairstyle I needed was a twisty bun. Once i was ready and all packed we left home.

Then when I got to the thetre I went to the room my school was in and then my mum fixed up my hair and makeup. We soon started to practise Spanish Troop. Then after a little while we got our costumes on which were Spanish tutus. Soon we had to go to side stage  then we went on stage a little while later.

After that dance was another dance from another school then the scores were said and my dance got 1st place!

After that dance we got our hair changed into a heidi for the next dance which was Hilda and the Peasents. We didn’t have to much time to change costumes and get our hair done but we all manged. Our costume was a white dress with a little jacted/vest type thing that has a kind apron off the bottom of it.

We had a few practises and then had to go side stage again. For that dance we were also competing against another dance but this time we came nothing.

After that dance I changed into my clothes and then went for luch (an early lunch). I had a meatball Subway thing with my dad. Then we went to Coffee Guru and I had a hotchoclate with my dad.

Then went back accross to the thetre and stayed there for a while. After a little while my friend asked if i wanted to go watch some dances with her and her mum so me and my mum went to watch a few dances. Soon we went back  to get ready for my next dance, Singapore. For that dance we had a bun for our hair and our costume was a leotard with a little skirt hanging off it. Then we went sidestage again and then did our dance. We again got 1st place for that.

After that dance my parents went shopping and I stayed at the place with my other friends. We played around the area my school is in and had lots of fun! Then after around half an hour to and hour my parents came back and then I went to play my dads iPhone for a while. My teacher then said that we have to go down near the stage so I went there. After a while my parents came down to tell me i have to get ready for my next dance which is Amazing, for that we have to where a little top and a skirt that shows our tummy. Our hair style is a pollyana. We also have a head piece taht go ontop of our head. I was the first one to get that costume and head piece on.

We practied that dance a few times and then went side stage to do our dance again. After that dance we ran to get changed into our costumes for Buttrerfly Kisses which is a blue dress and a blue ribbon in our hair. After that dance my friend and i were waiting to get a ribbon that fell on stage form someones hair. We got the ribbon and then went to one of our teachers she said that we can stay to find out the scores. Amazing came 2nd and Butterfly Kisses came nothing. The group taht came first were next to us when the found out and they were screaming and umoing side stage the judicater proberly was able to hear them.

After all my dances I back and got changed and then I went to get my DVD of all my  dances. Then we went home and watched me dance on the DVD, I also had some instant noodles for dinner although is was already around 8;30. then I got ready for bed and went to bed.

i had a great time there and can’t wait till the next eisteddofd which is the Brindabella Dance Festival. I will hopefully also we doing solos next time!

During the school holidays I am doing many things such as playing with my friends and family, dancing and more.

On Monday the 16th of April I stayed home then in the afternoon a friend of mine came over to play. We made a cuby played outside and I gave her a seamonkey or tw0.

Today, Tuesday the 17 th April another friend of mine is coming over for the day. We are going to do things such as dance, make cubys and cook, we are also going to do soe other fun things.

On Wednesday the 18th of April it is another friends birthday but I am not going anywhere to celebrate it. I am just staying home and might be playing with a friend.

On Thursday the 19th of April my friend is performing a solo for an eisteddfordd so she won’t be coming over to play.

Then on Friday the 20th of April  again I will be staying home but might be playing with my friend.

On Saturday the 21st if April i have a practise for the eisteddfordd. i will just be doing troop dances.

On Sunday th 22nd of April i will have my dance  eisteddfordd.

Then on Monday the 23rd of April I will be staying home and might be playing with my friend.

On Tuesday the 24th of April my friend will be coming to play for the day.

On Wednesday the 25th of April i am staying home and might be playing with my friend again.

On Thursday the 26th of April my friend will agian come over for the day.

On Friday the 27th of April I will be staying home but my friend might comeover or I will go over to her house.

On Saturday the 28th of April I will stay home but might go over to my friends house or play with another friend.

Finally on Sunday the 29th of April i will stay home for the last day of the holidays and the next day I get to go back to school!

So thats how i will spend my holidays this time!

My name is Alicia, I am now 10 years old. My favourite colour is Yellow, I also really like to dance!

I have lots of friends from schools, dancing and other things. I have two pets one cat called Mei and and dog called Lulu.

I live with my mum, dad, brother, cat and dog. My grandparents sometimes come and stay for a year to look after my brother and I.

I love animals alot. I like to go to zoos and see animals in the wild.

When I grow up I would like to be a ballerina, teacher or petshop keeper!

On the 17th of Marh I had my 10th birthnday party. It was so much fun! It was at the national zoo and aquarium (NZAA).

Firstly we fed a tiger from India called the bangle tiger. It was really big and had really big shoulder blades. We fed the tiger pieces of meat.

After feeding the tiger we looked at some other animals such as ottas and penguins. The pttas were swiming back and forth in there little stream, the penguins were staying in there nesting aea but one of them was in the water swinming in circles becasuse there was a stick floating and the penguin saw its shadow and was trying to grab it.

After looking at the penguins we went to look at these birds that would try and bite you. If you run along the outside of the fence the bird will run aswell. There was also one emu there with that bird.

Then we went through the nature stip which is where you can get right up to an emu of a kangaroo. We fed one of the two emus by putting some pieces of carrot on our hand and then holdingn it our flat so that the emu can just peck it off. If you don’t hold your hand out flat you will be pecked. We then tried to feed some kangaroos but they were not keen in carrot sticks. One of the kangaroos just scratched its ear like it was thinking weather it should eat and let us pat it or go but it just left.

Once we had tried feeding the kangaroos we gave up and left the nture stip and went to feed the giraffes. You feed the by holding a carrot horizontally and then the giraffe curls its tongue around the carrot to get grip of it and eat it.

Soon we got a group photo with the giraffe. Then after that we went to look at some little mokeys, they were really cute! While looking at the monkeys we made our way to the front where the bigger monkeys were. My friends then went up to the ramp where you go into the aquarium and I went to feed one of the bears. I fed it by putting mashed fruit on my hand and then putting my hand up to the fence with the tour guide helping so that the bear dosen’t bite. The bear licked it off my hand and its tongue was slimy. My friends were all watching me from above with my dad and my mum was with me but she didn’t feed the bear.

After that  I went to watch my hands and then we got to hold a boa contricter tree  snake that weighed 6kg. We all held it exept for my dad and one of my friends. Soon we went to look at ome of the sharks and other fish. We also got to pat a lizard called Spike. It is called Spike because it has lots of spikes. The tour guide has the brother of Spike called Rocket.

That was the last animal we got to see. We left the aqurium and the tour guide got us some activity bags and then left as the tour was over.

We all went to go have some food and drinks which was grain waves, chips lollies, spring water lemonade and lemonade. We also had a dog cake that was tiramisu flavoured. By the time we had the cake it did not look like a dog. We were still able to find the parts of the dog such as the bone, eyes, nose and label that said happy birthday Alicia.

Once we had finished all the food and drink we packed up and went to gift shop were I got a cheatah and named after one of the three cheatahs that are living at the zoo. It is called Tanzi. During that time my friends were looking at things at the shop and were als leaving. By the time everyone had left it was jut my parents, my friend and I. We got i the car and droped my friend back at her house  and then went home where  I  got to open my presents.

I had a great time at the zoo and so did my friends. I hope to do other fun activities there in the future when I am old enough such as meet a cheatah and more. That was a great way to spend my 10th birthday  and I think that was the best party I have ever had!!!

On my 7th birthday I got a fur real friend cat that comes with a bottle and if you press its back it will move its paws and meow. It is so cute.

My brother loves Kitcat he thinks it is very entertaing. Another friend who is much older then me said it is a good messager when it moves its paws.

I have now got some other furreal friend toys which is a little dog and a big dog.

At my school we are learning about space. As part of that we get to watch the Apollo 13 movie.

On the 12th of February 2012 I danced at the national multicultural day for chinese new yea.

I danced with one of my good friends at Civic stage 2 which is next to Canberra Centre. We  performed a dance called “when I walk past the teachers window” but its in chinese.

There was also someone singing the song with the recording. We practised and practised together until it was the day and we had fixed our dance to make it look as good as possible.

When I arrived I went to watch a little of the performance before I had to meet with the others. Once we were all together we went to to do some final touch ups with our hair and clothes, but then it started to rain. The good thing was that the rain had stopped soon after it started and the audience all came back by the time it was our performance.

We had to wait a very long time until we could go on stage. After a long while of waiting we just had to wait for the people who present each performane to talk about our performance and then we could go on. The presenters had finished talking and we finaly could go on stage.

We did our performance called “When I walk past my teachers window” but it was a chinese song. When we had finished our performance everyone clapped loudly and went off stage.

Once we were off stage I went to my family and some people I know in the audience and they said that I was really good! Then soon after that we all said bye and I left to do other things.

I really enjoyed doing that and hope to do it again next year!

On Friday the 16th of March I went to watch the Telstra Ballet In The Park performance by The Australian Ballet to celebrate there 50th birthday.

It was raining at that time so my mum stayed in the car and my dad and I went to watch. It was raining for a little while but then stopped and soon started again, luckily the rain had stopped by the time the performance had started.

There were many different acts from The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle and many more!

I didn’t get to stay for all of it but the parts that I saw were really good and I wish i got to stay for the whole performance. When we were watching there were lots of bats flying around and making loud noises!

I had a great time there although it was raining but that didn’t ruin the show.

On Sunday the 2nd of October my dance school went to an eisteddfod at Eridale theatre.

I did three dances they are called ‘Amazing, Butterfly kisses and Spanish Troop.’ I had to get up really early in the morning to get my hair done at put my make-up on and then when I was ready I went to my friends house and her mum took us.

When we got to Erindale we went to the room that my school was in and had to wait a while until we had to get ready for ‘Amazing’. When we were all ready we all went out side to practise the dance but then we also had to practise for Butterfly kisses because we had to quickly change costumes and go back to side stage. When the music started we all got nervous and started to dance we finished ‘Amazing’ and then had to go into a room to get changed into our ‘Butterfly kisses’ costumes and went back to side stage.

When we were waiting I saw my friend from a different dance school performing.

Then we had to go to our places for our dance when the music started we did our dance and then went back to the room that we first went to when we arrived. My friend and I got changed back to the clothes we went in and then went to my friends house for lunch and we also got to play at her house because we had heaps of time before we needed to get ready for ‘Spanish troop.’

We had our lunch and then went to play again. Soon a boy came to my friends houseand my friends sister was playing with him so me and my friend were  able to play together but we still had to play with him a bit.

After an hour of two my friend and I got our hair done for “Spanish Troop.” Then we had to get our ballet shoes on and them the ribbons sewed. Then when that was done we had to go back to Erindale theatre.Once we had been there for a few minutes the fire alarm went off so we left our stuff and had to leave the builiding but it was raining and someone had already got there costume on. Then soona fire truck came and checked the place and said it was safe so we got back to doing the dances. It did make the time past so we were running late. When we arrived again we went back to the room and got our costumes on. We then went outside again to have a practise or two.

A few minutes later we went to side stage to get ready for a dance. We did you dance and found out the results which “Spanish Troop” came 2nd but the other dance in first is also from my ballet school.

“Amazing” came 1st and “Butterfly Kisses” came nothing but we found that out when we had finished those to dances.

Once we had got changed and were ready to go we said bye to some of our friends and left.

I had a great time then and can’t wait till the next one which is very soon as this was a very ong time ago.
